[ How could an automail repair shop run out of prosthetic legs?? That is what Ed really, really wants to know, because it's the equivalent of having a butcher lose every single knife in his store or an alchemist forget the first rule of Equal Trade. It doesn't make sense, and it shouldn't be happening.

The legs they had run out off aren't actually automail (naturally, as those are tailored to each person), but the spare ones that are fitted to customers when their automail is undergoing repair. It's a common practice; there was no reason to deprive a person their ability to walk just because their leg needed some time in the shop. Granny Pinako kept dozens of different sizes. Why couldn't this shop do the same? The only reason Ed had patronized it at all was because there was no feasible way she could get to Risembool with only two of her limbs.

It'll take two whole days, they had said. She'll need to spend two whole days with only one arm and one leg. Maybe she should have just hobbled her way to Risembool!! A crutch supporting her left side, Ed makes her way across town in a clumsy manner, grumbling under her breath. ]

How am I supposed to go anywhere like this? I can't wait two days! [ It's then that she spots someone really familiar and reacts to what she sees immediately (as Ed tends to do). Isn't this ... Greed? ]

Huh?! You're -- [ The base of her crutch hits a dent in the pathway, and that throws Ed off balance. She falls forward in a rather undignified manner, one hand scrambling to grab onto whatever she can. If Greed catches her, that's ... nice of him??? If not, she's just going to faceplant attractively on the floor. ]
